EGR question

Ive got the egr blocker plates sitting at home, when I install these, will it throw my truck into limp mode or just throw the CEL. I dont have an insight or any other tuner on there so I want to makes sure it just throws the CEL if anything. the only mod on the truck is the DPR delete.

Should just throw a soft code. You`re better drive with the light on all time than with the EGR I know that for sure

Thanks! Went ahead and installed it anyway earlier tonight and was just crossing my fingers. That gives me the peace of mind I needed though!

I just ran the EGR blocker plates, the cooler delete was more than I wanted to get in to at the moment. Really a pretty easy install. Mind the screws on the butterfly valve in the intake though! i snapped both of them when pulling the valve plate out, no but deal since i got it out and dont plan on putting it back, WD40 that sucker tho!

Don't know if you guys are using the thin plates under the egr, or taking it off completly. If your using the thin plates and put your egr back on top of the plates, I recommend getting something to block the tube also. Over time even with the egr unplugged, it still gets forced open somehow, and you end up with a mess on top of the plates. I had the thin plates at first with nothing blocking the tube. I pulled the egr 4000 miles after that install, and it was full of black soot water, and the plates had sooty slime on them. Not really hurting anything but your egr if you ever need it again, but 79 cent 1 1/8" freeze plug blocking the tube will save you from the mess I had.

12 mega dually. garbage gone. mini with od.

Every 6.7 owner should think like that.
