6.7 vs 5.9 your opinion !

Hello people..
I am traying to get a preowned dodge ram 3500 dually and I found 2 of them..
Would like to hear your opinions about it.
1) SLT 2006 cummins 5.9L 32k miles - asking 35k
2) laramie 2009 cummins 6.7 72k miles - asking 43k

I've comparing this 2 with some trucks in a dealer market but still do not know if sounds fair.
If so.. Which one would be a better purchase

Please your opinion helps !!
Thanks

the 09 is not worth 43k out of the 2 I would make an offer of no more than 28k on the 5.9. but Im a 6.7L guy my self.

KBB or NADA.com

Those prices are HIGH! An 09 with average miles is $33K by the index

Guys here we go with nect question beyond prices that apparently will be negotiated in both cases.
This is the case::
This truck will be used to go to mexico very often, once there this is the problem.. Apparently from 2007 diesel engines have come with new regulations for emissions and are designed to be used just with low sulfur diesel.
In mexico there is not low sulfur in market.
If all this is true, the 2009 6.7 would not be able to use mexican diesel fuel unless emissions system would be deleted, another option would be to get an extra tank that allow the truck go to delivery the load and come back using diesel from usa.
We are talking about 2009 6.7 LARAMIE megacab with 72k miles.

With 2006 5.9 this problem is not active.
Since emissions system allows you to use either one diesel from MX or USA with no problems.
Here we are talking 2006 5.9 SLT megacab with 32k miles.

So... Question is:: which one do u think it worth better?? According with year, miles, engine and specific conditions about trips to MX.

Thanks in advance for your help !

Are you planning to keep the emissions systems in-place? If not, go with the 6.7. Otherwise go with the 5.9. But you need to make a reasonable offer on that '06.

Yes I am planning to keep emission in place becauese where I live is extremely required.
I was cheking the option to remove it and seems to be a pain in the *** having to relocate every year to pass emissions test.
I have an 30 gal extra tank transfluid on my truck.. Remove it from my truck and install on the new one it would be an option. That resolves most of my trips since I got fuel enough to go and back, but still stocked because I can't go beyond certain distance, unless truck would be allow to run with high sulfur sometimes (no often).. Do u know its possible??

Either way, will make an offer of course.. If go with for 2006.. Will not pay more than 30 for any reason. Its just 32k miles. I was cheking in my area and I could not find anyother with less than 75k, most of them over 100k.. People is asking about 23-25

I wouldn't run DF2, regular diesel, in anything meant to run ULSD. The regen cycle will really confuse the truck.

Good luck on the '06
