Replacement Service 6.7L engine?

Any info available on when we can expect to be able to get a 6.7L from a Cummins Parts Dealer ? : I hear they are only at 305Hp-610Tq.

Wonder if a P-pump can be retrofitted to this new breed?:

How many are waiting to get their hands on one of these new engines?

Chompin at the bit...........I'll probably give the new engine a year in service before I buy. Gotta baby the 7.3 until then:umno:

P-pump conversion, Nope, and I wouldn't worry about the current hp/tq ratings:secret: for now.

Yeah, that would be a pretty hot motor to P-pump. I don't know anything really about these CR motors, is it an electronically controlled injector or does the rail regulate which injector sprays when? Cause if it is electronically controlled, it seems like it would be quite difficult to retro fit a p-pump on. unless a 24valve injector body would work, the motor seems pretty similar other than that crazy pump system.

The output ratings are just staying the same for epa and legal reasons....like a month after its been out they'll up it underrating the engine just like they did with the old muscle cars.

The 6.7 in some ag applications has a 12v head with a pump.

There is a guy on TDR that P-pumped his CR engine, he used a custom front gearcase and custom fuel inj. lines. I believe he is using 24v injectors in it. As far as I can tell, the CR and 24V head are the same in regards to the injector installation, the CR just adds wiring in the valvecover.

thats what I thought, that makes a bit of sense, now my question is this, is a common rail, running a p-pump and 24valve injectors really much different than a p-pumped 24v. They are a really similar head, if there is any difference at all. Just curious, it would be sweet to do a p-pumped 6.7L though.

Supposedly the CR head has better flow ratings on the valves.
