Anyone know when the 4500-5500 will come out?

Or at least a picture or something? I really like the direction they're going with the freight shaker frame and a possible mercedes moter.

I doubt dodge would loose the cummins for a mercedes, but to answer your question i don't have an answer for your question sorry.

You guys need to get off cummins nutz: but seriously this was taken from the allpar article
The truck is a dual badge unit- Dodge and Sterling. It uses Dodge sheet metal and a Dodge cab. The frame is Sterling (Freightliner) engineered and built. The Cummins "B" 6.7 liter engine (already in production, with cleaner emissions than the current 5.9 used by Dodge) provides motorvation. Styling is definitely Ram-based. Eventually, a Mercedes diesel and the Chrysler automated manual transmission may be added. Sterling is also getting a rebadged (Mitsubishi) Fuso; and Freightliner is preparing a replacement for the Sprinter, the MT35, designed to fill the Sprinterís role but engineered for American needs and whims.

I'm not knocking cummins but in medium duty application or higher a cummins wouldn't be my choice if there was a mercedes motor available.

Now in the light truck application the cummins wins hands down IMO But it's just like that joke "what's the skin around a womans "BLANK" called? Useless! J/K: : :

Here's a picture of the mexican version http://www.dodge.com.mx/frGen2Hoja.a...ClaveGen=R4000

I'm pretty sure the new one will be different. Why else would it be covered with a tarp on their site, and not just say 4500/5500 will be out in 07?
