Saw the new 6.7

I was in wytheville va and saw the new 6.7 cummins in the cab and chassis. It was really weird looking with all the new egr and turbo stuff. But it sounded like a road tractor when i cranked it up a hole lot beefier sounding then the 5.9. But a whole lot more stuff to have to fix if it tore up to. 38000 for a 4 door c & c with cloth seats and power windows.

wish they didn't have all that wierd exhaust crap, would be nice to open the exhaust up see how they sound. Diesels w/ EGR to me seems like not a good idea, too much soot and stuff getting built up.

You are 100% correct there.

With the fuel we are sold in the USA, you have two choices...

1) Run the combustion temps up and burn ALL the junky fuel (no smoke, but lots of NOx)

-or-

2) Run the combustion temps cool, and eliminate NOx (low if any NOx, but way more particulates)

The fools at the EPA have the '07 Medium diesels emitting the same particulates, or fewer, than a GASOLINE engine!

Reflecting back on this post. It appears that the decal in question, was in fact a lie or hoax. You decide.
