DaimlerChrysler subsidiary Sterling Trucks, itself a division of Freightliner, will soon unveil a new medium-duty truck, the Bullet, to be officially unveiled at the NTEA Work Truck show on March 6, 2007.
Just from the glimpse of this photo, it's obvious the Bullet is based on a Dodge Ram. Details in the press release are scarce, but it's believed among the engine options will be the 6.7L Cummins as well as one or more Mercedes diesels.
Diesel Power's Take: It appears DaimlerChrysler, despite all the current turmoil, is planning to take the Super Duty on head-to-head, including through alternate sales channels. Stay tuned to Diesel Power as more details break.
