Is Dodge/Cummins very specific about the fuel?

Curious I am on the Ford side of the fence and the word from Ford is anything but ULSD will plug the DPF is Dodge as concerned?

Even though I am on the Ford side I am also on the Sterling side so I will get some exposure to the 6.7 in the Bullett. Albeit not the same as in the pickups but will be the same as a cab and chassis...Be a few months on that though.

A DPF is a DPF is a DPF no matter what brand of truck or engine.

LSD or standard #2 D WILL destroy the DPF in relatively short order.

What no one is saying at this time, is how LONG does it take?

10 gallons, 1,000 miles, use it for 3 months? What??

For myself, ANY #2 D or LSD where ULSD is REQUIRED (all '07 Emissions diesels) voids the warrenty on the DPF.

John is right, on top of that. Piezo Injectors hate LSD fuel. You'll destroy the injectors.

Sidenote:
The DPF on Dodge's in made by Fleetguard, and fleetguard probably makes the best filters for anything out there. I was very suprised not to see a Fleetguard on the Duramax's. Supposely it's still not out of the question for GM though.
