why

why do they want to replace the awsome 5.9l with a 6.7l no i think it might be more pwerful but will suck becouse all the new part they will have to make and then it will cost more money than they all ready cost.:93C_peelo :deadhorse :grd

I imagine it will be alot easier to get the power output that they want and be able to meet emissions with a larger engine than the smaller one. I think my dealer said the 6.7 will add about $1000 over the 5.9 not sure though.

i get your idea but i think it will suck becouse most diesel guys and girls like and love the power of the 5.9l:smoke

they had to for emissons, the 6.7 is just as good a motor as the 5.9, just it has more emissons :RTFM:

I think it is they had to not that they wanted to

1996 Gmc k2500 4x4 6.5 turbo diesel, with mods Blew the head gasket, put all new heads, valves, injecotrs gaskets etc on the truck only to get it together and find out it had no oil pressure, and sounded horrible (pry a spun bearing). SOLD

Don't get mad at Chrysler, or Cummins, get mad at the EPA and the people behind the anti diesel smoke campaigns.

Remember, Cummins sells a lot of these engines in the commercial truck world as ISB and PX6. The new motor is much more competitive now than it was as a 5.9.

but i like it hen your shifting an dthe black snoke just starts roling out. i will suck when no black smoke comes out :smoke
