07' 6.7 Vs 07' 5.9

I'm considering buying a new CTD to pull with and make my a D-Max more of my ranch truck. I'd really like a Chassis Cab but still not sure about buying a
1st year motor. Any thoughts? I have driven both and don't notice a lot of difference. I do like the exhaust brake on the 6.7's though. It will be a 6spd truck so the new auto isn't a concern.

Also curious what you guys are paying for new ones? The dealer quoted me around $33K for an 07' 6.7/6spd Quad Cab 3500 C&C dually, loaded up with most options.

The Jake Brake Option on the 6.7 is sweet. But the emissions **** sucks

The turbo brake is impossible to beat. I think the 6.7 will do better on fuel right off the bat because of the injectors. The 6.7 is great for winters too because it gets the cab much warmer, much faster. The EGR is scary though.

Can anyone say for sure if we can mod them without the dealer knowing? Stock would suck after running 500rwhp in this D-Max.

only time will tell to be honest. I'd wait it out with these new egr motors, Ford's new 6.4 seems to be running pretty good for once, so maybe that will be a good motor atleast

You can get the factory Jake for the 5.9's too... 06+ I think.... I haven't installed mine yet.

As for poweradders for the 6.7, should be a very interesting road ahead.

Wow! $33k for that much option!

Wow! Only $33k for that much of a truck??? Dealers here really a rip off...what the dealer quoted you for a 6.7 dually with most every option would have been quoted $50k. A regular Quad Cab SLT with a 5.9 Cummins 6 speed tranny 2007 was quoted to me for $42k...plus they wanted additonal $1,200 bucks for jake brake!!! You got a super deal!

Cowboy Dodge in Cheyenne WYO. Their sticker was $41K and they said they'd take $8K off without me even asking if they'd deal. The Jake is stock on a 6.7

Not sure what you mean. It was a C&C but it had the nicer interior it appeared. I didn't drive it but it looked to have everything. Wasn't white either  ,was a nice bright red  .
They also have an 07' 3500 quad cab pickup,5.9/auto ST package for $31K.
