Mileage of 6.7's?

I am looking into trading my '05 1 ton Laramie for a new '07, 5.9 or a 6.7 and am curious about what the 6.7's are getting for mileage. Please help??

I'd reccomend against it, people are having quite a number of issues iwth the 6.7, plus with the new emissons, you're better off with the Pre-emisson 5.9

I agree, i consider myself damn lucky to have gotten my 05 when i did. I really dont see the new engine being as good as the 5.9 CR for a long time.

Pretty Good

After many trips to the dealer with "dash lights", they seem to have gotten my 2007 6.7l mega cab fixed. Getting around 20.5 on the highway and 18 in the city, unloaded. Pulling car trailer loaded 7000lbs, from here to Nashville and back, 1100 miles, averaged around 14.5.

The 6.7 is a great truck, it does have major issues just look around some of the forums and take a look . I think and hope they will get them resolved soon , my truck is in the shop now with 1800 miles on it (engine rap, and clogged DPF) My 1st 3 tanks were 13 to 14 mpg hand calc all around driving some towing some highway, my last trip was 517 miles highway unloaded, it took 30 gallons, (517 divided by 30 gallons = 17.23 MPG) that was at 65 to 75 MPH. That was my best tank yet. Oh by the way i traded my 06 5.9 for the 6.7, I will keep the faith..............................

how did u get your dash light problems solved. our dealer doesn't have a clue about our engine warning lights and early oil change lights.

Tank #1 : 14.6 mpg; Tank #2 : 14.5 mpg; Tank #3 : 15.1 mpg; Tank #4 : 14.8 mpg. I'm at 2,045 miles currently and tank #5 seems to be doing much better......I'm expecting around 16.5 mpg or better this tank.

Love my 6.7L and I've never had an ounce of trouble out of it.
