newbie questions on 6.7 6sp

When I give my new truck fuel there seems to be some flex in the transfer case select shift knob. I have always been a 2wd owner prior to this. Wanted to know if this is normal or should I take this thing in?

Also how often should I be checking the fuel filter? (1st diesel)?

Others on here can verify this, but I'd be shocked if the knob / lever didn't move around a bit. You for alot of torque there and a driveline mounted on rubber bushings. My shifter on my current Ranger moves a good bit.

I don't know on the filter.

My transfer case shifter has a lot of movement, just torque.
