bluetec badging on tailgate? wth? all like this?

Hey
I saw a 07 or 08 bright red 4 door cummins yesterday, had 305 cooper atrs on stock wheels, pretty quiet motor, looked like a typical stock tailpipe, had a big bluetec emisson clean diesel badge on bottom drivers side corner of tailgate, do all 6.7s have this orrr??? thing that makes me really question it is that the owner of a big dealer network here (owns his own air strip) was driving it. I wasn't sure if its standard and I missed the memo or if I'm onto something.

Dealer told me that all 08's got em and the 07's did not. Don't really know though, just what I heard.

:iagree Just more $$ for the manufacturer, IIRC isn't there a charge on the invoice for badges?

I think also it has something to do with the technolongy that makes the 6.7 capable of meeting 2010 emissions already.

That badge is an insult. In my opinion, it's put there to pacify the left wing environmental whack job in the prius behind you.
