Towing MPG

Just thought I'd share... Towing MPG's through Houston and freeway driving averaged 9.9 to 10 MPG on the overhead. Trailer wieght is almost 13K and outside of needing a block to turn around in the the 6.7 pulls great...

What`s the mileage on your truck? Mine has 17 000miles on it now, I`m making between 14 to 16mpg with 12 500 lbs fifthweel(travel weight)+ front of the trailer is 13 foot ....nice air drag. It did same as yours last summer when I`ve got the truck around 9 to 10mpg.

Just had a look at your boat and what could make a good difference on mpg is your third axle....a lot of drag! But hey, if your truck still low in miles don`t worry mine did`nt get better before 10 000miles! 6.7 is a monster to break-in ! good luck!

Wow 14 - 16 towing! That's great. And here I was happy with 10MPG while towing. I currently have less than 10 miles over 8000 on the clock.

A Cigarette boat is what most people refer to these types of boats... However, Cigarette is a brand, an exceptional brand by the way, but none the less a brand name similar to Fountain, Donzi or Baja. The reference most common in the boating community is a go fast boat or just a performance boat. These boats were used at first to smuggle cigarettes into Canada and therefore derived their nick name as the "cigarette boat" and we all know the stigma derived from Miami Vice era....

As far as top speed I've seen 74mph on the dash but I haven't confirmed with GPS...
