Just wondering if anybody out there switched from duramax to cummins. If so, what do you like better?

I don't think the standard 68RE trans is up to the Allison. The Aisin might be.

So I have been browsing through the threads and I've seen you started a couple. You're trying to decide between keeping your LBZ or getting either a LMM or a 6.7 CTD.

First off what do you want to do with this new truck? And are you one of those guys who gets a new rig every year or 2? Start with those.

05' 2500 CTD 4X4 QC LB SLT 6" lift 35x12.5x18" Toyo's, edge j/a, airdog 150 and jeep liberty canister mod, magnaflow turboback 5" to 4" duals, banks techni-cooler, airaid, dipricol mech. fuel press. in a-pillar mount
07.5 2500 LMM 4X4 CC SB LTZ 10-12" lift 37x13.5x22" Toyo's, efi-live, magnaflow 5" turboback

Well so far the 68RE seems to be bulletproof...no recall or anything negative yet! On the other side dodge is the only one to offer a standard 6 speed manual on his diesel trucks. And this one has nothing to do with the old 6 speeds. It is way overkill for what it has to do...it`s use by mercedes on 5 to 10 tons trucks over in Europe and it is trouble free .
