Edge Juice vs extreme cold

I confirm that the Edge Juice w/att. is very reliable in cold weather. Past two weeks the temperature uphere is below -30 and my Edge is going thru is real test. No problem at all so far exept for the screen wich stays totaly blank for at least 10 minutes when I start the truck in the morning but it still erasing codes on start up. Liquid screen don`t like it below -20 I guess. But that`s the kind of weather I was waiting for to feel safe with it. Now I know that it is almost bulletproof.

That's good news!! Nice to see a bit of that once and a while. So what are you putting in your fuel? I've been geled the last 2 morning. 2 days ago it was -15f, and this morning it was -26f. I should mention that I added a dual remote filter set up, that is back by the tank. It has a 10 micron water/sep, and 2 micron filter. This is where my gelling takes place. The first morning I was able to just let it idle to the point where it somewhat thawed itself. Then i drove it 17 miles, filled it up, and added a quart of Howes. I then drove 17 miles back, and no problems, but the mistake I made was not changing those filters while I had access to a warm shop. So this morning I was changing filters at -26 laying on my driveway. I think I'm good now, but I will say that I used to believe Power Service was good stuff, I now know it's junk, and Howes is the way to go. Long story, and I guess way off topic, but I was just curious what your adding. By the way, I had a full, unopend bottle of power service, (white bottle), that was froze this morning. I don't know, maybe it will freeze if it isn't mixed. Kind of like pure antifreeze will freeze, but I thought that was odd.

I always use fuel conditionner below -10 . I do 2 fill up with a quart. Also something I learned over the years working on tractor trailer is when you get extreme cold make sure your engine is warm up before you get on the highway at cruising speed. Lots of fuel return to the tank after passing thru the fuel ramp or injection ramp wich warms up your fuel tank. Most of the time it geled inside the fuel filter. I just drive the engine at low revs and slow speed until the temperature gets up to 195F and I use winter fuel conditionner.

Don`t forget to warm it up good before you leave or you will have to crawl under your truck again at -26..... OUCH!

Anyone buying a tuner for there 6.7 and wants to do a DPF delete should wait a couple of weeks. The Edge works great with the simulators but there will be a tuner released some time in February that will blow every other tuner out there for the 6.7 right out of the water.

Why wait? longer you wait worst is your truck getting. Edge works great and so far it is very reliable. The thing is faster you delete better it is for your truck.

Hummmmm. The s-67 from smarty has been going to blow are minds for 2 years now. Either give us more info, or it's a bunch of useless bull, not worth posting.
