Mp-8

ok thinking about stacking the mp-8 with the edge, how difficult is the install and does it really give that much better power and mileage?

It is most definately worth it in my opinion. Hardest part is reaching the plug so you can hook up the box. Taking the valve apart and stuff isn't as difficult as people make it out to be.

You need to shim the rail relief valve. I don't think you should put the plug in stacked with edge. Just running the mp-8 would be ok to use the plug, but stacked, I would shim it.

is the plug kevin sells a shimmed version or is it something else? it says to be used in place of fuel rail shim provided with mp8. so i guess it is an altered plug that is already shimmed.

If you are running just the MP-8 then the plug is ok. Keven will tell you the same thing, I know he spent hours on the phone convincing me on what the best routes to take are for any mods. If you are stacking then use the shims provided with the MP-8. It is not a hard mod to do. Just clean the floor wherever you are doing the shimming before you start, incase your pin pops out.

Ok so who can tell me the diff between just shimming the fuel release valve and stacking the mp8? Cause when you install the mp8 you shim the rail correct? Now lets say you dont install the mp8 and you just shim the fuel release valve. What are you gaining with either cause if i can shim the release valve and gain some extra why spend $400.

if u just shim the rail u wont get anything out of it...... when u shim with the MP-8 the mp-8 increases rail pressure and the shim doesnt allow rail relief until a higher pressure than stock

You should be warned increasing rail pressure may cause injector damage. I do not believe there is a gauge available for the 6.7, at this time, that accurately measures rail pressure after you fool the ECM with a chip.
