deletes vs miles

Who has a lot of miles done with EGR and DPF delete but....whitout any issue ? I`m just wondering how far my truck will go troublefree with all deletes done. So far I`ve done 12 000miles trouble free but I`m looking further. I have a chance to put my hand on a 2006 5.9 with only 14 000miles and in mint condition and I want to make make sure I take the right decision by keeping my 6.7 after warranty is over.

EGR and DPF are the worst CRAP ever and the worst is still to come.....UREA !

Almost to 20,000 trouble free hasnt been back to dealer since. I dont know if you remember Eazy's truck but i think before the accident he was a little over 80,000 no problems. If there was a way to get rid of the 4 sensors dummys 3 on the frame rail and the one going to the tranny i wouldnt have a worry at all more concerned of the sensors reliability getting wet, mud, grime etc.

I did the dpf delete at 10,000 and at 14,000 it started missing and blowing all kinds of white smoke and it sounded like the exhaust brake was on but it wasn't so I put it back to stock and they had to clean the egr or whatever they do to it and replace a pressure sensor im gonna put the delete back on soon but if t messes up again I might trade it its sort of been a pain in the *** but I like it a lot so hopefully it won't mess up again I guess ill delete the egr too when I delete the dpf again

gotta ask...why would you leave the egr on after you've done the dpf delete?? the egr does the most harm.

Just keep it man. The biggest problem with 6.7 is the stuff you deleted. You've doubled maybe even tripled your engines life by deleting the EGR.

Yes sir, my truck had 88,000 when I totaled it. 86,000 of which was egr and dpf delete! Best thing you could do for these trucks!

Oh yes! it is more important to delete the EGR than the DPF! EGR is what kills turbo and also engine reliability. If I had to choose between the 2 I would do the EGR anytime because all the DPF messes up is to keep EGT too hight!
