YES!!! Take this....

Had to do a 350 miles trip today and I did recalculate my mpg by hand and also keeping an eye on the overhead by keeping reseting it every 20 minutes or so. My mpg are so good that I had to reconfirmed to convince myself it was true

Perfect day 33F , 5 mph front wind and driving at 65mph on a flat hightway all the way. Overhead `s reading...between 21.7 to 22.3 mpg...the exact same as last summer. Hand calculated gave me 21.8mpg.. Can`t beleive I did all this just make sure it was right last summer....AND IT IS !!!! Beleive it or not I was almost happy to stop at the fuel pump to fill it up ! So try to sell me from now on a powerstroke or a d-max.....good luck !!!!

Know a guy who owns a 08 dually auto , he gets 18 to 20mpg but if you`re looking at the dually setup , the extra weight etc.....it is incredible to get close to 20mpg!! You can`t really hope for more. He runs the exact same stuff as me. Deletes and Edge.

If you really get 18.2 with your powerstroke.......keep it as long as you can

Cocotte, that is great. I know just one more reason to lose some crap off the engine. I am starting to to put the cash aside for the deletes. just not sure what setup I want..but with these mileage results it makes me wish I had the cash and was out of warranty..congrats me that really rocks.

Note that if your truck is a long bed I notice a decrease of +or- 1 mpg even with rear wind so I can`t say that a bed cover is useless anymore.

Is a new fuel formula possible ?

Drove up to the lake on Sunday. It is 75 miles, mostly uphill and against prevailing winds. Reset the overhead when I left home and it showed 18.2 mpg when I got to the lake.

I reset the overhead before returning. When I got home it showed 24.2 mpg.

This is a trip I make about 20 times a year. I always reset the overhead to compare mpg. This trip was the highest mpg ever, including trips during summer on summer diesel.

I have recorded every fuel purchase, gallons, distance and time since I purchased the the truck (approx 52,000 miles). I do not have a chip or programmer and the overhead has always been very close to hand calculations.

2007.5, dodge, mega cab, 6.7, 68rfe, 3.73, 4x4, dog box, EGR disabled, [email protected] 4" TBE, Edge Insight.
