all lemon laws

Well since something happen to all
the old text (sorry been a little while) how many 2007-2008 have been lemon lawed. I know the dealer where i bought my 2008 and he says dodge has a MAGIC DATE in 08 where they will lemon law quickly. This pisses me off cause basically they put all of us out of time and money to test their ****. Anyway im lemon lawing my piece of s**t and bout to get an 09. Is there any differance and trust me when i drive in my driveway with it, it will be a delete and programmer greeting me. And for the info I owned my 08 for 8 monthes put 16000 miles on it and tow cars with it daily, in other words I worked the **** out of it. Just lost to much money being in the shop every month with no fix, plus the mileage I lost with a half baked turbo. Love the truck handles top notch rides top notch outside noise top notch, its still a work truck unlike a ford just enough stuff to feel spoiled but not like a yuppy. Thanks for the info

like i said this isn't a bash tread I love my truck just can't pay $40000 for something that has lost me half that because it's been in the shop. And for damn sure not when they have some magic date that they know it's unfixable. That tells me they knew it was screwed up when they put it on the lot, thats what i cant get over

I can understand that..actually my neighbor had one as well and he ditched his for a chevy 2500 with the 6.0 gas..I keep telling my self im not gonna let it win..its been doing great.so maybe they are getting better but I know you cant have a truck that sits in the shop when you needed for work hope it works out for ya.

Man like I said I love the truck and know a couple aftermarket parts and it'll be the best ever but to me I dont want dodge to win. We all paid for a truck that should be awesome stock and then if you want to upgrade so be it. In my mind WE shouldn't have to be upgrading these trucks to make them stay on the road but not me and your battle Dodge let its customer base down and it will cost them cause I'll never buy another one. My unlucky *** had the 6.0 too so it's either to the chevy next or wait till Toyota's hits the market. And everyone wonders why this country is close to a depression we cant do or build anything right it's all about a dollar and these *******s that have screwed me the last five years get my tax dollars because they made a faulty product. Boys I got 15 years till retirement and I'll be set for life then I'm outta here our 200 years are up and its only going to get worse

face it....we're all in love with the Cummins NOT with Dodge!

I still miss my cummins but I got so tired of fixing it (sat in a shop for 2-4months at a time! because one thing would be wrong and low & behold 5others would be worn on a truck that had under 100,000 miles on it! and I know the mechanic wasn't looking for problems, he was tired of working on that truck lol)

On the flip side my buddy beats his 2000 and almost has 1/4 million miles on it

Dodge's inconsistancy is what gets me worked up! how many VP44's were replaced and Dodge never said there was a problem there???

SO when Chevy was giving away trucks at the end of 08 I bought a Duramax :-/ I'm still not sure if it was the right move, but at least it was assembled here in the US unlike the 02 Cummins that I had which was put together in Mexico (I think thats where it's problem was, my mechanic has run into similar problems with other "American Made" Mexican Assembled" cars/trucks)

not to hate but if you have problems welcome to the club, you could do the deletes like many of us have done or wai for the dealer to fix the same things ten times over and still possibly not fix your truck problems, we all knew the epa and other envoronmental organizations were coming out with ways to emmissions test all diesel trucks, the new "stuff" is causing problems and we all have to deal with it. not bashing you guys nor the truck makers but no new major changes to vehicles ever go off without any problems.. the old line about not making an omlete without breaking some eggs applies!

I'm with you on the lemon, not the motor just the emissions causing the problem, three weeks ago got a call from dodge, said truck will be replaced, img called gave me the details said he wanted to get it done asap like in 2 weeks been over three getting itchy have edge and egr deletes sitting here truck runs good now 15 or so trips to dealer later, all i gotta get is exhaust can't decide 4 or 5 inch, tried to get them to do a partial buyback they said no way, every time i call the dealer the guy handling it is on vacation or his day off have called them for 2 wks now he has never called me back, and they wonder why they are not selling cars.WOULD NOT HURT MY FEELINGS AT ALL TO SEEM THEM TANK,I WORK VERY HARD TO BUY THINGS LIKE THIS TRUCK,AND I'M SURE EVERYONE ON HERE DOES ,DO THE MATH, HOW MANY OWNERS ON HERE HAVE 40K PLUS TRUCKS,HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU THINK HAVE JUST ROLLED OVER OR TRADED THEIR TRUCK OFF AND TOOK A BEATING TO GET RID OF THE PROBLEM??NOT TALKING JUST DODGE HERE EITHER KNOW LOTS OF DIE HARD FORD AND CHEVY GUYS TOO,THEIR GRIEF WITH THEIR NEW TRUCKS IS JUST AS BAD, WILL THINK REALLY HARD BEFORE I EVER BUY ANOTHER NEW ONE !!!!!!FROM ANY OF THE BIG THREE

I agree on the heavy thought before ever buying another diesel that is for sure, the issues are not good for the pocket nor the mileage we shouldn't have to spend an extra 2-3k on an already 40k+ truck it has made me think about the costs. just reminds me of a commercial I saw for spring dodge yesterday talking about marking down the new 09' 1500's from 45-50% off, guess they are really feeling the pinch more than they let on.

but on the other side of things you are talking about a person that took a new 03' cobra from the dealer and modified the car for track use the car had around 5k miles on it when i sold it, the only thing I know about me is that i never leave anything stock for long and i seem to always get bitten by the mod bug.
