Fuel filter

I'm changing my fuel filter tomorrow for the first time any hints< do's or don'ts, and what is the easiest way thanks for any input. I figured they would have something on here but I searched and nothing.

Pull the driver side fender well liner out, like eight or so screws. this will allow you to reach around the steering shaft, unplug the water sensor and change the filter. much easier than laying on your back. also let about a half a water bottle or so drain out through the drain tube before loosening. there will be diesel EVERYWHERE regardless so prepare yourself!!!
