DPF Delete

I Deleted it im my ford and now my buddy with a 08 6.7L wants to delete his as well. Just wondering what you need and how hard is it? Thanks

Well, this is not an easily answered question, as there are mulitple variables to consider.

Obviously if the truck is still under warranty, then you need to weigh your options, if you want to risk it.

If you decide to proceed, then do you just want to do the DPF delete? What about the EGR system? There are DIY avenues, all the way to bolt-in units. But once you perform the deletes, then you have PCM codes to deal with. You can run with an Edge Insight to try and take care of these, or step-up to a tuner with the capability. Depends on your budget. And various tuners offer different avenues of delivering the power (timing only / fuel only / fuel and timing, etc...).

And the saga goes on.......

For him as were in the oil patch he just wants it gone bc in the winter it was plugging off all the time. so he just wants the DPF gone

There are code free kits out that so you don't have to run any programmers H&S performance in the states.
