Rough Idle when cold

My truck just started idling rough when I first start it in the mornings. But after about 5 or 10 minutes, it is fine. I drive about 40 minutes to work then let it sit all day and when I get in it to go back home, it idles fine. It is just in the mornings that this is happening. Could it be fuel? My last two fill ups have been at a different station.

My 05 5.9 would do that when the air filter started getting dirty. I would change the filter and it would idle perfect when I cranked it up cold.

No I mean the intake heater grid that is in the intake manifold. They help heat the air when the truck is cold and help it idle a little smoother until you get a little heat in the engine. You should here it making an electric arcing sound underneath the hood before it starts. Don't you have the little coil on your gauge panel where you turn the key to the ON position and wait for it to go off before starting?

Help me out here 6.7 guys don't you have this like the 5.9's do?

Yes, the glow plug light. I make sure that light goes off before I start the truck and the truck starts right away, within a second or two of when I turn the key to start. It just seems to run a little rough for 5 minutes or so after that. It was just a coincidence that it seem to start doing that after the second fill up from a certain gas station.

Thanks for any ideas or solutions.

Well call what you like but these motors don't have glow plugs, just an intake heater. Can you here it actually working when your key is in the on position?

Yes, it seems to working fine. What I did do this weekend, was reprime it, so to speak. In other words, touch the starter without starting it and then let the key go back to the run position to allow the fuel pump to cycle for 20 or 30 seconds. Just like when you change the fuel filter. For right now, that has seemed to work. I had changed the fuel filter not to long ago, but it is possible that I didn't prime enough. Well see.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.
