Compounds on a 6.7L

I know its been done, but just figured I'd post this up since where getting close to pulling the trigger. We're going to compound the stock he351vgt with an s475. The truck is an 08 running an XRT, 5" w/ Deletes, fuel system, and will be running 90hp nozzles, with a stage II cp3. We may end up externally gating it, depending on how the drive pressure looks. Should be a pretty sweet build, we are hoping to squeeze 650-700hp out of it. The sticks may be a bit skinny for that though.

God I hope this doesn't make me go out and throw twins on my new truck too.

"Bottom Turbo just arrived"

Well you could have just named this thread: "Bottom Turbo just arrived"

Should be great thread if it's like the ones before. And for those that don't know, this will happen. He's done this before back in 05?

Well, the bottom or in this case, top turbo hasn't actually arrived yet, but the rest of the parts for fab are in. We are planning on running the set up like II does, and mounting the s475 above the stock charger. I'm going to spend a little time looking around my engine compartment seeing what the best way to fit everything in is going to be. He already has all the EGR delete stuff on his though, so it looks a lot less cluttered and far more inviting to try and work in. Also, since I have a set set under my belt already, we are hoping to expedite the process and not have it draw out nearly as long as mine did. Maybe a long weekend or something like that. It should turn out pretty sweet though.

Not much to the tranny yet. It has already been smoked once, and rebuilt under warranty with the XRT still plugged in. I'm thinking since we are keeping the stock manifold, in the stock orientation, we could use the EGR port for an external wastegate port which would be kinda cool.

Me too. It really makes me want to put them on my truck, even though I keep telling myself that the 24v is going to be for hotrodding and this truck has to stay stock. The potential of these trucks is just so great that its hard to say no. There are a handful of guys running around with 700hp+ sprayed 5.9L CR's in the area now, and my 24v just can't compete with something like that. Maybe that thing needs a p-pump. Anyways, just thinking out loud. This should be sick though.
