How to make a 68RFE hold 700 hp

Now that I have your attention, you might want to check this out. MHP (Modern Horsepower LLC) has come out with custom programming for the transmission control moduel (TCM) on our 68RFEs. There is a guy on cumminsforum that was spinning the dyno at Industrial Injection the other day, running this tune. It is still fairly new, but those running it are very happy so far. Here are some clips from emails I sent to MHP:

We modify dozens of variables electronically via software, including line pressure, clutch pack fill rate, reduced or eliminated TCM based TQ management, modify the shift schedule, etc. Our files are very refined in that you'll find the WOT shifts to be quick and crisp (but not snap your neck old school valvebody hard), while the part throttle shifts become quicker as well, but are also smoother than stock. We eliminate a ton of slippage in the trans which as you know creates heat which is one of a tranny's worst enemies.

You can send your TCM in for 1 day turnaround

The Modified class I have you invoiced for now will work with everything up to the aftermarket turbos. That requires a custom file GP price $975 List $1200. The good news is we can tune you for everything up to the turbos now, then later if you upgrade them you can just pay the difference and upgrade to a custom file. Yes you would need to send it back at that time.

VIN is so we can VIN synch the TCM to your vehicle for you, you just install the flashed TCM, no dealer visit necessary.

Read the dyno here: http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/6-...marty-xrt.html

Heres the video:

So far it sounds great, just what we need. Anyway, just wondering what you guys thought of it. The website is more performance car stuff, but I think they know what they are talking about. http://www.modernhorsepower.com/

Check it out, what are your thoughts?

Well be careful, the limits are being found on the 5r110. About 700wrhp with stock size tires. And I know with about 600wrhp on 38's and 3.73's it doesnt like it at all. With the tunes that I'm sure will be coming out for the 6.7's in the near future it would be wise to upgrade some components. I'm sure there will be a 300+ hp tune for these trucks.
