gotta love what the cold can do to your truck
Last night i was driving home from town and it was -35. about halfway home i heatrd a large bang from the right side of the hood and something hitting the undercarrage. i didnt think anything of it since it sounded like a chunk of ice or something. no warning lights came on, no wierd smells or sounds...this morning i go out to start the truck and it is deader than dead. i had forgotten to plug it in when i had gotten home. so i plug it in and wait about 4 hours for it to warm up and try to start it. still nothing, so i call a friend over to get a jump. when he arrives i open the hood and i am dumbfounded by the sight of my battery in a million pieces and acid everywhere. but in the 4 hours it was plugged in, the drivers' side battery had enough juice to turn the lights on. gotta love alaska.
