DPF Delete

Hey guys,
I want to see what people are using for the delete? Are you leaving the cat back and just removing the DPF or are you putting on a Turbo back 4" or 5".
I am looking at the XRT with an AFE turbo back. I am a little concerned about the exhaust system because I do not an obnoxiously loud truck. Better sound with better flow is what I am looking for.

Garage
A lot of guys are doing Turbo Back Systems in 4 or 5 in, so have done just a DPF delete pipe which I think takes the cat and DPF out and leaves the rest of the system. FWIW, the downpipe is a big restriction due to the Nox filter. I also think it is win/win with either Smarty or XRT. If you put a muffler in either 4 or 5 in system such as a flowmaster Hush power, I think you will have what you want. As I have been told the 5in is not a whole lot louder than 4in but it is a deeper sound. Hope this helps.

TBE is not that loud. The vgt quiets it. I'd go turbo back, and get rid of the cat in the down pipe if your after flow. If you don't like it, you can always throw a muff on.

Do a TBE and a XRT, H&S is doing great things with the 6.7 and I also hear Spartan is going to start messing with them.

Yeah,
The 6.7 is pretty quiet compared to the 5.9 even when straight piped. 5" will obviously have a deeper tone. I would do either the new AFE 4" with or without a muffler or a 5" TBE Flo Pro also avaialble with or without a muffler.

It all depends on warranty and if you have to return the truck back to stock. The most popular is a DPF/CAT delete only. Let us know if you have any questions.
