I got mine from Dodge for 40 bucks. They are available on flea bay (ebay) for just under 16 bucks but they look different than mine does.

Not sure but I think it's the same cord as 5.9, and most parts stores will have them a little cheaper than dealer. Remember reading that at one time or another. Trucks around here come standard with them, so I never have had to buy one personally.

on top of the block heater cord, mine came with battery pads, 2 on the oil pan, tranny, and junction box with a cord hanging out the front bumper. with all that though, it will start at no problem in any temp, ive had mine down to 65 below last winter, talk about crappy mpg.....lol

Thanks guys. I haven't had any trouble so far at -10 but just want a plug. Kinda pisses me off that we pay what we pay for the truck and don't get a $40 plug but Oh well.

that winter cover looks nice but we flucuate so much in temp especially if we drive to the valley to shop in the winter I just worry that I might have troubles.

FWIW, I was told that Cummins has "voided" warranties for use of the cover. I do however believe that that was in the Heavy Duty (semi tractor). But my grandpa would put a piece of cardboard in front of his radiator in his GAS dodge ram during the winter.
