Smarty to Xrt not good...

Well just a FYI you dont wont to unload a XRT off one truck then unload a Smarty off an other then load the XRT onto the truck that had Smarty cause it WILL take the ECM(PCM) wit it and your truck will not start at all then the truck that took the XRT off will have to run witout a tune which SUCKS! Then it also could mess your XRT up big time. I just wanna say that Casey at [email protected] and the staff there also are great folks wit the best customer service i have ever had to deal with they got my buddy and i both fixed up wit some overnight parts for us to get him running again and to get me a new tuner. Just so no one goes and starts bumping there gums we did everything right in the downloads its just one tuner possible smarty or xrt not going to point fingers so we just leave it at that left a file or did not correctly unload so it tried to load on top of each other which caused my XRT to fully load up but then caused a no start and would not allow us to take back to stock so basically frozen. I really wish Casey and Bentley and the rest of the crew would become part of the Diesel Garage...

So we should be all fixed up today some time. Lesson learned tell your buddy to eat **** when he asks to borrow your tuner to just COMPARE!

I wonder if it just has a corrupt file, say you take the XRT or Smarty (one of them) out of the mix, and just where changing from a X hp tune to a X hp tune. could the same thing not happen? Or does Casey believe it is in the way each of them tune that caused the conflict? Just thinking out loud Brandon.

That would also be great if we could get the H S Staff on board TDG..

Well as of yesterday afternoon around 1:30 [email protected] had us fioxed up and both trucks were fine once again Great Job guys!!! You Rock maybe someone on here that is a memeber of the CF could post this up in the 6.7 section and maybe the [email protected] team will come over and join us. Neel i dont think just swaping tunes out was/or could be an issue never has been for me when i swap in and out.

I had the same issue last week switching from a smarty to an xrt i also had to get new ecm and a new xrt. H&S have awesome customer service

Def the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE i have ever had to deal wit hands down. It will be nice when they get it figured out so others can try diff programmers

Must have something to do with the xrt not knowing how to update the new chrysler tunes would be my guess.

Xrt

I recently bought a 2007 duramax (LMM) with 40,000 miles on it. I want to get rid of that dpf crap and egr. I know i need a programmer to do this and it was suggested to me that i need to get an xrt. I don't know much about them so any information would be great thanks.

XRT is a great product from an awesome company. I switched from Smarty to XRT a couple weeks back, and have not regretted it for one second. You can't go wrong with H&S.
