Been a while, need some advice...

Ok, yea so I haven't been on here in quite a while. School and work have been working me overtime for a few months now. Anyhow, the main thing I'm worried about right now is my truck.

Problems started occuring last week when I'd turn the truck on and let it do it's code clearing bit then as I'd go to crank it, there would be a loud ticking sound like something is shorting out almost. When this happens, sometimes it does nothing, sometimes it resets my oil change warning and that goes off as well as reseting my fuel milage reading to 15.0, and what happened today when I started up was it threw codes back at me AFTER they were cleared. P2262, and P0405.

I haven't done anything to my truck in over a year and a half so warranty is out on the Edge that I got anyhow. I believe it is the core cause of the problem right now. The only thing I can think of to be causing it is the fact that it is 25-35 degrees right now and that is what is what is making stuff not act properly. If any of you guys have had this issue and found a way around it let me know!

Also, wanted to catch up on a few things, just in case I were to get rid of the Juice what would be the best(Most reliable/cost efficient) way out of this situation? Got a long trip planned in about a month so I really don't wanna be stuck on the side of the road out of state in the middle of no where. The truck hasn't given me any problems what-so-ever until this passed week and I don't really have time to take it to any stealership to get it looked at. Figured I'd pick y'alls brains first and see what possible solutions would be.

I have had that same problem with my edge box on my 6.0 PSD. Check under the hood and make sure there’s not any condensate or build up in your harness adaptors. If there is, use a non conductive electrical cleaner and blow it out. This solved my problem.

Dude where ya been i know school/work... My edge decided to take a big giant chit on me one evening i thought it was one of the sims but turned imho it was the edge cause i yanked that biotch off and drove witout a tuner for about 2 weeks made a 300mi road trip wit the just exhaust, and egr blocked off problem free. I loved the edge but it began to cause grive wit my truck after bout 20k on it. Then i got smart and bought XRT best decision of my life wit this truck have bout 12k on xrt now and its the chit. My buddys truck is doing the same as mine did power reduced and all kinds of goofy chit. The 2262 is the turbo could be bad news if it has never been replaced or cleaned... does your eb work???

I don't remember what flash I had on my truck but that was the cause the 3nd time I got the 2262 code. First time they cleaned the turbo and then I had it for 3 days until I lost the EB and the code came back. Then the put a new turbo on it. I would almost try XRT as Brandon is saying or Smarty and seeing if your problems go away. As for the P0405 do you have your EGR unpluged..if so Try plugging it back and running the truck then clearing the codes. Once the code is gone unplug it and see what happens.

I would say if he never got the code before he deleted everything its time for a turbo..which is not fun unless you have the $$$ saved up

I don't know what took it out. I have been running without an EB for almost 2 years now lol. I might get a new tuner for it, not sure. If a new tuner isn't going to help then why waste the money. The EB and stuff went out the day I removed the egr/cooler. I drive it easy, leave the edge on 4 with all low settings and MP-8 only around 25%.

Is there any tuners that are truely code free and don't have to wait for the codes to clear? I've been away from this stuff for so long, figured you guys could just give me a crash course. The truck has enough power as it is for the stuff I need to do. I get 13-21MPG depending on what I'm hauling and where I am, etc. I'm satisfied with it, cept for this little bug that it has right now.

XRT and Smarty are completely code free. I would almost be willing to put some money its the turb giving you fits as in needing to be cleaned or replaced you got a mod friendly dealer?
