6.7 install in a 2004 F-250

Just got the 6.7 Cummins with 46,xxx miles Now need to get it installed in my truck. The wiring harness looks intimidating. removed the EGR valv and cooler.

Questions: Does anyone have any pictures of a 6.7 complete with accessories?

Motor arrived with everything except: alternater, A/C pump, and powersteering pump. All brackets seem to be there. Any advise would be appreciated from someone who has alredy done this conversion.

2004 Black over Orange F-250. C/C 304 MBRP turbo back exaust. powertrap air filter(by Wix/Visteon).

I'm sure you are aware of them but I would give the boys at Destroked a call and see what they can tell you. Are you planning on running your 5r110?

Neel is right, Destroked will get in pointed in the right direction. I went and talked to them as they're right up the street from my house and they were very informative and overall great guys to talk to.

I've talked to Destroked and they told me to talk to Bean. Bean was helpful, but info is still vague, ie Wiring for alternater, A/c hook ups and adapters, cruise control, powersteering will my ford lines hook up or do I have to come up with adapters.

As Far as power steering goes that would be a simple hydraulic fitting so I wouldn't sweat that. As far as A/C and the alternator go I would look for wiring diagrams, as both should have the same wires going to it, find the order and wire the dodge connector into your ford harness. I know its not exactly what your looking for but it gives you an idea to start from.

Thanks neelburn. I dont haver a hydralics shop here like I did in St. Louis, where I could walk in and try out fittings until I find one that works. Does any one have schematics on A 6.7 engine wiring harness and a F-250 ford truck ?

If you get a service manual for both trucks such as hayes or chilton they both have the wire schematics. Also do you have any Tractor dealers such a Deere or Case IH as they may be able to hook you up by putting the Dodge fittings on your Ford hoses, just an idea.

you could also try and contact the diesel magazines. they would know who you need to talk to and may even get a story. win win for everyone

I have sent a buddy down to talk to Destroked he has a 05 F350 getting a 12v real soon he tired of the 6.0 breaking his wallet

I also have a 12 Valve 6BTAA out of a Fed -Ex truck setting in the back yard that I was going to put in the truck. My Wife had a fit, Said she didnt want an old engine going into a new truck (She was a Car Dealer). So I spent 5 G's on a 6.7 and probably have another
$6000.00 or so to go to complete this project. now i have to figure out what to do with the 12 Valve (Wife said I could keep it if I sell my 1997 F-350)
