Time to change CCV at 67505mi

http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=CV520010

Just got off the phone wit Casey at [email protected] and explained to him i had a perform service message on the overhead but no cel and he said it was the CCV that is plugged and needed to be replaced and it just so happened to come on as i hit 67500mi exactly so i got on genos garage and found a replacement filter to get this changed. Who else has had to do this yet? Seems pretty simple just ontop of the valve cover assembly. If anyone would like i can take pics and make a write up on it cause if it has not been changed ill almost bet it will at 67500mi

Well i got it reset for now till my new filter gets here.

Steps to reseting the overhead

1. Turn key to on position
2.Fully depress brake pedel 2x
3.Fully depress accelerator 2x
4. Turn key to off postion

Should reset then if not repest steps.

My truck also had the Perform Message come on exactly at 67500 miles. The manual also says the egr cooler needs to be cleaned also. I know its not an issue for those who have done the egr delete but I am still stock. I asked my dealer about it and told me not to worry about it. They have never done it and feel it is a greater risk to get some leaks from opening it up and cleaning. As long as its running fine don't bother, so I did not do it. Now at 72000+ miles. BTW have not changed the CCV yet.

It's a good idea to change that filter out even before the 67500 miles. That filter gets full of oil that could get sucked down in to your turbo and then to your inter cooler.
