water/methanol injection

Hey guys, I have posted here before and yall have helped out every time. We drive our truck mainly on the weekends and sometimes pulling a very heavy horse trailer. My egt's get very high when pulling the trailer on acceleration up to highway speeds or pulling hills (1350 +/-). I always back out of it until they go down, has anybody done water injection and which one is the best. I am concerned because I will have to install my dpf to pass emissions and remove it again. A lot of work, but it is worth it to me.

What setting you run on the edge when getting this hot? The 6.7 can take some heat but you should be a little cooler with all your deletes. I have never used water meth but from what I've heard that should fix your problem.

when towing, I run on level 2. I have never run any higher than level 2. I always back out of it when the alarm goes off, it is set at 1350.

Have you thought of trying an aftermarket intercooler? that could also reduce your EGTs a bit.

Boost fooler isnt going to lower that much wit out supporting mods. Where you located altitude??? How heavy is this horse trailer? Getting up to highway speeds witout high egts on these trucks is not going to happen wit a heavy load witout lots of air. I pulled my buddys 09 2500 cummins back from denver to cheyenne at 80mph and my edge was on level3 and my power puck was at 25-30% and egts would get up high coming on to the interstate but cruising it was a consistant 1000-1100egts. So either get a aftermarket turbo to pull big loads or as some have stated intercooler, boost tubes, and maybe try out the boost fooler i only got maybe 25-50* cooler MAYBE.

well depending how fast he trying to get to watever speed is as factor you cant expect to move a 8000lb truck and watever the 4 horse trailer loaded down ways HEAVY from 20mph to 65 or 75 mph on a on ramp or expect to pull 15k+ up a mountain at highway speeds and maintain under 1300 egts not going to happen. get more air before more air on these 6.7 and you will have way lower egts
