Well as you have read I lemon lawed mine. I had enough of the MIL light coming on but I recently got a recall notice that some of the 07's had a problem with the light coming on and they claim that now they have a cure. This was the only real problem that I had with the truck. I can't say that I had found any weak points. Mine have the 6 speed auto and I have to say that for being stock it was pretty darn fast on take off. I repaced it with a 6 speed standard and of course it seems slow compaired to the auto as I just can't shift it that fast. I pulled a 25 ft. gooseneck with it loaded with firewood from WVA to ohio several times and it pulled like a champ. The main problem was soot build up and if the deletes had been done I think that the light wouldn't have came on. Hope this helps.

FWIW I have been one of the lucky one's with a trouble free 07.5. Just passed 78,000 miles and never had the overhead warning light up with plugged up DPF and CEL lights just don't show up on my truck. I do drive it with a heavy foot, pulling trailers on ranch and a 12,000 lb 36' 5er. Sure the mileage is not as good as the 5.9's but a stock 6.7, with a 6sp auto is hard to beat. Based on my experience I would not hesitate to do it all over again. Good luck!

I guess there are a few of us luck guys out there. I have 92k on my 7.5 with the 6sp auto. Only complaints are the weak u-joints. I have replaced 3 so far and got another going out. Hey any of you guys know who makes a better u-joint so I can just upgrade and not worry about them any more?
