MP 8

I just scored an MP 8 off of a buddy, and was wondering what you guys thought about these. He said that it didn't seem to raise EGT's or rail pressure to a dangerous point at all. I don't have gauges on my truck yet, which I want to do pretty quick here, so I will probably wait until I have those to plug it in. But I was just curious what you guys think. Should I run a rail pressure gauge with this, or just make sure to have a pyro on there. Do any of you have experience with them?

Nothing came up when I searched for it. Also, how do you think my stock clutch will take it? I can get a south bend Dual disk at an exceptional price if I want it, but I am not sure if that is too much clutch, as I don't plan on really modding this truck.

Thanks in advance,
Sean

I have played wit my power puck alot same thing as your mp8. I also didnt notice much change in EGT's when the xrt was off wit just the puck turned up. I get the most power i believe out of it around 70-75% all the way up is a waste. If you can get a DD i would get the 3250 pedel pressure on mine is less than stock pretty much real smooth enguagement for a DD amd very street friendly i have over 50k tuned on mine hauling and running up an down the street

I will look into it and see if it is the 3250 or the 3600. A friend of mine has the 3600 on his 07 5.9 and says that he hates it. But that is a pretty serious clutch, I am looking for something that will do alright with minimal mods and hold up to towing a fair amount, maybe 9-10k.

I love my 3250 pedal is just like stock (no BS) idk why he hates the 3600 i drove one thye just a little stiffer. Well its worth the money if you add a tuner, exhaust for piece of mind that your clutch will hold up for past the life of the truck. mine has been in for roughly 60k and no problems i slipped it good one night let it sit over night all was well

i like mine but i have had a few issues but I am thinking they are lift pump related. all in all they are great for mileage and decent power gains just don't expect magic to happen, expect a 2-4 mpg increase and yes some smoke!

Well anytime I have it on and just lay into the throttle it will drain the fuel rail which has led me to believe the lift pump can't keep up. The rail has a replacement plug in it rather than shimming the original one. I have checked the plug to make sure from ts that it is the correct replacement and it is so, the only thing i can think of is the lift not keeping up.
