Ordered some extras for the truck

Today I ordered some mods such as the H&S black max, 5" turbo back exhaust, complete egr cooler delete, and an S&B air box. Also I got the B&W turnover gooseneck hitch and a nice set of running boards so I guess I'll be busy for the next few days. Anybody got any tips on install ahead of time?

Good luck with everything and hope you enjoy it. I just got done putting a 5" exhaust on my 6.4. Wasn't hard at all. Ofcourse yours will sound a lot better than mine when you get done. Getting my bed sprayed some time in the next couple of weeks too. Along with my front and rear bumpers and my quarter panels.

I just had my bed sprayed this week and it looks great. Now the kick in the but, the black max tuner I bought hasn't been updatedfor the 2010 yet. So when they were contacted they said it would be the first to the middle of June before they have it ready so I can't install it or the exhaust until they get it updated. So for now

Yeah, I was kind of wondering about that 2010 and running a BlackMaxx! Oh well, no biggie. At least it is only a free internet update that you can do yourself in 20 minutes, right? And when it is finally on there, boy are you gonna love that truck!

Well I got the update and now I got the black max and the 5" turbo back installed and man what a difference it made. I haven't got to play with it much yet but if I turn it up it is a wild ride. I checked the milage this past weekend going up to lake erie and I got 20.6 miles per gallon on the mild setting so I am happy with this. On the hot setting it really poors the smoke if you get on it.

Soot I don't quite understand your question. I am new to all this mod stuff. In all reality I haven't got to drive it much yet and I am still learning how to drive the truck with this on there. I have heard of boost launches and all the other tems but I haven't a clue on what or exactly how it is all done. I really ain't sure if I even want to try all this stuff as I ain't wanting to tear up my truck. It is a six speed and I can see a clucth going out if I would get too rough on it and that just wouldn't be any fun. So I am just taking it easy and learning as I go.
