Rust Spots ALL over my truck

I washed my truck today and noticed that there are rust spots ALL over my truck. I keep my truck decently clean, if it isn't being hand washed I atleast spray it off really often. There are small rust spots all over it sorta like "rail dust". My truck is 2 years old though and it has never been there. I didn't have a clay bar so I will have to clay bar it next week. Any clue what could have caused all of this???

no I haven't done anything around my truck. It hasn't been driven in about 3 weeks now just sitting out in the driveway

Rail dust or enviromental fallout/acid rain is all can think of.

Are you near an airport or industrial area?

I live in the middle of the country. I am probably over 100 miles to the closest big factory that would put out stuff like this. It is weird though if it was acid rain, looks like my car or something would have it on it

I don't think it is rail dust though, because my truck is 2 years old and I would have noticed it by now, plus I have used a clay bar on my truck a couple different times in the last 2 years.

It may be brake dust from your truck. There are a number of possibilities. Chris
