VICA competition

Well tomorrow (or today rather) I leave for the VICA skills contest for vocational students in Columbus Ga.

My school choose me to represent them for the autobody part.

I will have to estimate a damaged car, paint something, fix a damaged panel, and weld

looking forward to it... plus the school is putting me up in the Hilton and paying for all my food.

with any luck i won't make a fool of myself :roflmao:

Good luck! Find out how to become a sponsor and I'll sponsor ir next year.

Auto Body Vo-Tech schools are a dying breed and this is industry is about to see a lot of Baby Boomer's retire in the next 10 years.

Congrats!

Wimmens make great bodypeople and even better painters because they see color better than we do.

Though its rare to see them, I'm usually very impressed by the work of a woman whether she's in the body shop or paint shop.

They make excellent painter's helper's as well.

I remember one young lady from when I did a Duramix clinic at a vo-tech class in S.GA probably 9 years ago and she impressed me then and today she has her own shop in Sylvester I believe.
