job question

i know this is not directly truck related but i am hoping one of you guys is in the industry and can give me your 2 cents.
i stopped by an old business associate of mine to get some wrought iron painted.
we got to bsing and catching up. he was doing commercial truck painting(cement trucks, gravel trailers, garbage trucks etc). he tells me that he has moved away from the production painting and is doing commercial custom paint, he told me about flaming a cement truck, an american flag/eagle semi he had just did. as i am sure alot of you guys would of been just as interested as i was. i told him about the work i was doing on my dually, and a paint job i was dreaming of. after that the conversation went toward my business. after telling him i shut down and was just relaxing and recovering he jumped all over me wanting me to get sales accounts for him(commercial accounts, rv dealers, semi truck dealers, etc.).
he dangeled the ultimate carrot in front of me custom painting my dually to go to shows and pitch his company. guys i am going to work for him but hears my dillema what kind of commisions does a salesman in the body and paint industry normally get??? this is a straight commision job and he asked me what kind of commision i was looking for and i dont want to go to high or to low.:deal:
