Dually fender chips

My bed sides are chipping where the dually fenders/extension are touching. Is there a way to keep this from happening after I get the bed repainted? I am having the bed sprayed with Rhino or Line X. That is a discussion for another thread.

Thanks for your time all of the body guys,
Tony

Horsehaulin,

I feel your pain, the same thing is already happening to our new '08 F350 Dually. I know there are some who have those areas lined with 3M's Paint Protection Film. The clear film goes right over your paint and protects your finish from rock chips and other debris. Here is a link to 3M's website: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3..._the/Consumer/.

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions:Thumbup: ,

Can I apply that film between the dually extension and the bed side?

The film should be able to fit no problems. Each piece of film can be custom cut to fit a certain area of the vehicle. As long as the surface is painted, you should be in good shape:Thumbup: . Also if you are considering to have this process done, I would recommend having a 3M dealer or professional do the installation.

Thanks and let me know if you have any additional questions!
