Stacks, toolbox, and Duel CB antennas

Not sure if this is the right section. But, I bought stacks and I have duel cb antennas and i was wondering how you guys that it would work. Would the antennas melt? How should i remount them? I thought about mounting the antennas toward the center of the toolbox but didnt know how that would look or work.

Open to suggestions and any ideas.

Unless you like the look of 2 antennas they don't function any better than a single until you get them about 8' apart.

True, they actually hurt your transmission distance. The wave field that they can create for each other hurts your field.

To the OP, what kind of antennas do you have now? Fiberglass or steel? If they're steel, I don't think I would worry too much about them. Fiberglass would worry me, though.

If you have a headache rack, mount a single antenna at the top middle. I can get out a lot better than duals on a pick up truck. If you pull a g/n trailer, the taller the better. 3' min.

I have dual CB antennas on mine. One is hooked up, and the other one is just a dummy...just for looks. I wouldn't worry too much about the stacks and the antennas. I'm getting ready to do stacks on mine...so I'll let you know.

i traded my white firestick for two red ones. i like the look of two. and like bluoval, one is a dummy. i was going to have them both hooked up but a friend also told me that unless they are more than 8' apart it does no good. i dont think that the stacks will be too bad for them. unless they are like 2 inches apart. plus, as you move the air should help keep them cool. :2cents
