Do it yourself window tint

I was thinking about doing some do it yourself window tinting on my truck, the stuff comes pre cut and comes with a video and the tools. Anyone ever do this them selves? Seems pretty simple to me, but rather get opinions from those who have had first hand experience doing it.

Done it tons of times. 2 drops of dish soap in the bottle helps to move it into place. Dont roll down your windows for 3 days. Fit it to the OUTSIDE of your windows first. This way once you transfer it inside, you know you will have enough slack in the film to fit your windows. ( windows curve in, get it? )

IF you get the soap on the outside of your windows, a little bit of polishing compound, NOT rubbing compound, will get rid of any water spots left from the installation. Do it in the shade, better yet a garage if you can get to one. Hot windows tint like sh$%. The cooler the better.

I've done a reg cab pickup myself, make sure you leave about an inch along the top of the window where it hits the weatherstripping.
