SCT XCAL2 Back to Stock Question

I have had a SCT XCAL2 for almost 3 years. I wanted to upgrade so I could monitor my Oil Temp Trans Temp and EGT's. I bought a Edge CTS Evolution with custom programs. Several weeks ago I had a problem with it and it returned to the Edge canned programs. Then it got stuck on the Extreme program and could not get it back to stock.

I was wanting to ask if I wanted "Return to Stock" could I use the SCT to go back to stock with another program in the truck, even a non SCT program?

I have done the Dump the stock file and now have a file saved for the stock file on my computer. I don't know how I can put it back in a tuner if something were to happen to the XCAL2. Any help would be appreciated.

I am suppose to get my CTS back today. I was hoping someone could answer the question on the fact if my CTS screws up again would I be able to use the SCT to return it back to stock?

no you can't cause the edge saved the stock file the SCT didn't.

With our product it does say the stock file on the unit and what you could do is return the vehicle back to stock using the X2.That will put the truck back to the Factory settings. When you used the Edge was the truck still tuned with the X2?

Thanks Matt

The truck was back to stock when the Edge was installed. I ended up with my truck stranded for 3 days when I tried to return the Edge back to stock. It was like it had nothing in it. Would not engage starter or do anything. I was sent another programmer and it did not have the stock program in it. I hooked my SCT up and it did not give any error messages so I tried the return to stock and it worked. I guess keeping my SCT close by would be the best thing to do. They sent the Edge EVO back and said there was something wrong and Repaired it.
