New flash

So on one of the sites I read I came across a post talking about a new ford flash that limits the injectors leaving his tuning device unable to up the power is once had. I believe I'm about to be taking mine in to check out the oil cooler. Which will lead to them flashing my truck. Will this be a issue? I assume they are doing this in the ficm but onlyb read one instance of it and the guy's tuner was a diablo predator

I kinda doubt it will effect an sct tuner, especially custom programs for your strategy. Of the ford flashes out there, the one for the 2003-early 2004 trucks that eliminates/infers the ebp sensor reading could have an effect on canned programs or inline devices that used the ebp sensor for tuning. I believe any tuning can be fixed on the 6.0 including the ficm's these days as the 6.0 has been disected thoroughly at this point. I wouldn't worry to much. Harry

custome tunes I belive will be effected by a new flash, but you should be able to ask ford not to update to the latest software if your out of warrenty and have them reflash with the older flash

i don't think you can have them update to a older flash. If they flash it...it will be the newest flash. You just can't pick which flash you want.

Just a strategy change, nothing to block out a tuner if he/she has the new template!
