Livewire and Xcal2?

Currrently, I have the xcal2 and haven't had any issues with it, but Doug from gogodiesel.com has disappeared, so trying to find another vendor to work with just to get the induction heating installed on the tunes I currently have already.

Anyhow, just replaced the 1/2 shell of the FICM and wanting to install Fuel Pressure and Oil Pressure guages, but it seems livewire is the route most have taken.

Currenlty, I have Pyro, boost and trans temp gauges installed and would like to retain them.

So, I am assuming the livewire will show me just fuel and oil pressures and I can get the version without the pyro since it is not needed, but will my files convert form xcal2 to livewire?

Is there a vendor out there that will take my current tunes and put them with the heat induction strategys or does anybody suggest a different vendor to speak to about this?

Honor, Grace and Dignity. Remeber these?

Livewire will not show fuel pressure. I've heard some that have the livewire...were very disappointed in it and would've rather gone the SCT handheld with gauges over the livewire.

why is that, strokin6lL? I was thinking for getting the Livewire because it was a nice and clean package. so, I would be better off getting the hand held and gauges?

The Livewire sucks for gauges. Plain and simple. And the Livewire won't monitor fuel pressure because our trucks computers do not monitor it either.

If you want to monitor fuel pressure you would hafta use an analog gauge...theres just no other way. I have mine mounted on my steering column and i think it gives it a nice clean look. I have no experience with the livewire...i'm just going off of the reviews of others who have it or who have had it. Personally if i were you i would either get the SCT touch screen extreme which is a wireless device that has a digital display that can hold custom tunes and is smaller and nicer and looks 100 times better than the livewire...but is also a bit more pricey. Or get the SCT X3 hand held programmer, and for gauges if you wanna go the digital route...get the edge insight digital display for gauges. The edge insight is awesome. So SCT touch screen extreme with tunes or SCT X3 with insight. Either one of those SCT tuner gauge combos would be awesome i think.

Thank you for the info guys. I haven't been out on the boards hardly at all since having my son, so getting back up to speed on what is out there.

Strokin6l.......do you have the part number for that gauge? It will match what I currently have. Going to go electronic full sweep since running a line into the cab is not something that is exciting for me.

Been looking for a good quality fuel gauge. Maybe I can nip injector failure in the bud in the future.
