EGT's with 155cc Injectors

I installed RCD 155cc injectors in my truck awhile back & although I love the power with all the other mods, it seems to constantly run hot on egt's. From all the reading I've done here, 155's are working well for guys with stock or powermax turbos & towing. I'm a little dissapointed at this point, climbing a grade with no weight in the truck will easily pin the egt's past 1200 in a matter of seconds. I'm literally slowing down to 40-50 mph on the freeway to keep it from blowing up! Has anyone else experienced this? I'm looking at the powermax turbo right now, looking for any solution to reduce egt's.

there are tons a variables but to me keeping the EGT's down all has to do with RPM. with tuning that locks the TC in overdrive you can begin to lug down (slower and slower) without a downshift and your EGT's with shoot up. you can use Tow-Haul to keep the Rev's above 2000RPM or charge the hill at a faster speed with also equals higher RPM's.
maybe look into an intercooler upgrade....

maybe an aftermarket intake? I don't see it listed on ur sig. It's cheaper than a turbo but in the end I dunno. Good luck I'd like to get some of those

Have you talked with Eric about the EGTs? He should be able to pull some fuel out and cool things down.

Yep, an AFE Stage 2 and a PowerMax will cool it down a bit.

Just curious, do you have an AirDog or a fuel pressure gauge at least?

Something is amiss there. It seems you are not getting enough air. What is your boost running?

I have RCD 155's and can climb a 6% grade with my 14K fiver behind me without going past 1200 degrees. Freeway driving, I am running in the 700-750 range at 70 mph.
