Recommend getting an SCT tuner and order custom off road tuning. With egr deleted your engine computer see's no more egr flow and fuel/boost mapping is now off, as truck is in a fault mode condition. With proper custom tuning, you will have your performance and mileage back.

Running the highway empty with stock computer programming I get 20 mpg. Towing a 11,000lbs Jayco fifth wheel at 55 to 60 I get 11 mpg with my 2004 F350.

Tires, Gearing, Lift Height, Fuel Quality, Driving style, can all effect mpg a little to alot. i went from a factory 275/65/r20 goodyear to just a slightly taller 315/60/r20 toyo mt and lost a full 1.5 mpg with nothing else changed. and that is a hand calculated corrected speedo lost not a lie o meter loss. however what was said above about not getting the truck tuned to compensate for the EGR delete can make a BIG difference. even just a tranny only tune with the egr stuff fixed should make a differnce. IMHO.

Jammin60 said it best. To answer Tooloud, the bullydog programmer is not custom tuning to your trucks strategy coding like an SCT device is capable of, and by keeping it in towhaul your increasing average rpm's thus using more fuel. Egr deletes need remapping of the boost/injection and shifting curves to run correctly. Also, winter fuels and engine temps can drastically effect mileage. In winter my mileage drops considerably, due to the fuel and the trucks operating temps that are too low.

SCT with innovative diesel tuning was the best choice I ever made for my truck. I did the egr delete/oil cooler not long after and havent seen a code since. I have an 8' lift with 37's so I dont expect great gas mileage but my truck does pretty good for itself at about 13/14 avg mostly city driving.

thanks, but My EGR is still plugged up....but everything is blocked off.I know the SCT is the way to go but my POS hasn't ever gotten above 14-16 mpg even stock,However I could hook up to my ole 40' fifth wheel that weighed 27,500 and I still got around 9-10 mpg.I am guessing that because my truck weighs over 9k that has alot to do with my horrible fuel economy
