Scan Gauge II mounting

I just got it a couple of weeks ago and hadn't
decided on where to mount it. I was sitting in
the truck staring at the dash area and opened
the ashtray to get my spare keys which led to
mounting it in the ashtray. The cable is easily
fed through the back and when not in use I can
close the ashtray and the scan gauge is hidden
from view. Maybe not the greatest location for
viewing but it hasn't been that bad.

I forgot to mention that I have an IBC, so I had to look at other options.

UPDATE

In direct sunlight (which is usually rare in the NW) I found
it too difficult to read the scan gauge so I'll be moving it to
find a better viewing location.

I just got one of these and was planning to mount it there too. How do you like it so far? Easy enough to read while driving? Is it stable with just the velcro? No shaking?

And what is the 48.5 FCV monitoring?

I love it. it has has helped a lot with fixing issues when they come up. at night it is perfect but during the day it is a little tougher because of the light. the Velcro has worked great for me so far.

What's the trick to programing it ?
I'm not fast enough to get the codes in before the bars moves on me.
Is there something wrong with my gauge?
