Make sure it is programmed for the truck it is going in.

There is a Power Hungry Performance Tune you can have flashed in a FICM but it is my understanding it really only works on an otherwise stock truck. (I could be wrong) I just had my buddy's rebuilt by Swamp's Diesel to a 58v Heavy Duty Unit. So far it works pretty good, but now chasing other issues with it not FICM related. Also Ford would only sell us the FICM if they installed it in the truck. He called auto parts places like O'Rileys but we were never sure they were programmed ready to go in so we went the Swamp's route. (it was also the best price)
