Code P0675 - F-250 2006 6.0L

Hello guys..
My check engine light just came up whiel I was driving a few miles.
I got scanII gauge and immediately I ran codes on it and a code P0675
was reported.

I went in to a internet research and It seems to be cylinder 5 glow plug
circuit or related as follows:
- Cylinder #5 glow plug circuit is open or shorted
- Faulty cylinder #5 glow plug
- Faulty glow plug module

During the last days the engine it's been hard to start (sometimes).

So.. now the question it is if the cylinder needs to be replaced
or if it can be repaired in a more simple and economical way.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You likey just have a bad glow plug in cyl no.5, that would be the 3rd cylinder back on the passenger side. Easy test procedure to for checking, is just unplug the glow plug harness from the glow plug module and ohm out the terminals for each glow plug, any one that reads over 1.2 ohms of resistance is bad or going bad, this test must be performed on cold glow plugs, or ones that haven't received a glow plug power cycle in at least 15-20min. Does require a DVOM (Digital Volt Ohm Meter) for this test though.

Also, for hard starting, may want to check your FICM main power voltage reading with your new Scangauge2. You do need to code in the X-gauge commands into your new ScanGauge2 before you can read this though.
