Just Got My SCT, A Couple of Questions

I am now the proud owner of an X-Cal2 and love it!!! Great power, trans shifts great, tow-haul is back! Couple of questions......

Can I try other tunes from different vendors? If so, can I just load them like I did the first three? Or, can I only use tunes from the original dealer?

Is there a limit as to how many times I can re-program the truck and the SCT?

Does anyone run a good street tune that gives good power without a lot of smoke?

Thanks all in advance, go SCT!!!

Yes you can run other tunes, just load them the same as you did the first three. Just be sure to keep them all saved on your computer, and dont lose them.

Almost all street tunes should be smoke free, but whomever does your tuning can make sure its nearly smoke free.

Read this thread about the number of times a truck can be flashed.

So it's either:

a: 100

b:100,000

c: None of the above.

Thanks for pointing me to the post, it doesn't seem like I have much to worry about. So far, I'm pretty impressed but would still like hear about street tunes with less smoke.

I did not say the answer to your question was in that thread.

I can't help you with street tunes with less smoke. I want street tunes with the most smoke I can get.

When working on the tow file with PSDplayer we developed, I swear my truck has had over 100 program changes!
No problems what so ever!
